To connect to the Internet by using a T1 line

1. Install the T1 adapter in your computer.
2. On your desktop, right-click My Computer, click Properties, and on the Hardware tab, click Add Hardware Wizard.
3. Configure the T1 adapter with the IP address allocated by your ISP.
4. After the T1 adapter is added and the server is restarted, verify that the T1 adapter appears as a network adapter under Network Interfaces in Routing and Remote Access.
5. Add a default network route that uses the T1 interface.

Note

• A default network route has a Destination of 0.0.0.0, a Network mask of 0.0.0.0, and a Metric of 1. Because the T1 connection to the ISP is a point-to-point link, the Gateway IP address is not configurable.
